Crisis in FUTA Over Death of Student as Four others injured

There is tension at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, Ondo State as Students of the institution shut one of the school’s main gates on Tuesday over an alleged death of one of them.

It was gathered that the student who was said to have been involved in an Okada accident was taken to the school’s health centre where he eventually died unattended to as claimed by students who spoke with newsmen.

The student, Daniel Akinyele was a 200 level, Software Engineering Department.

A source close to the school authorities said the student was brought in dead.

Another source said five students of the Federal University of Technology Akure,(FUTA) were involved in a car accident around the cathedral area of the state capital on Monday night.

He said one of them, a 200 Level student of the institution known as Daniel Akinyele A.k.a 9jaBazz was confirmed dead while four others were injured.

It was gathered that they are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
