Customs in Sokoto seizes N19.6 million worth of sex enhancement pills.

In Sokoto State, the Nigeria Custom Service joint border patrol team Sector IV seized a shipment of sex enhancement medicines worth N19.6 million.

While briefing reporters in Sokoto, Mr. Kolapo Oladeji, the Coordinating Comptroller, disclosed this information and added that food trucks had also been stopped near the Kajji settlement on the Sokoto-Kebbi route.

He added that it was against the law for the food-laden vehicles that had been stopped to be traveling to the Niger Republic across the Kebbi border.

“Given the current state of affairs in the nation, we will do everything within our power to prevent food smuggling out of the country.”

We are all aware that certain Nigerians’ actions have caused food prices to soar.

“Despite the border closures enforced by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), our people prefer to take the food to other countries because they are hungry,” he stated.

Oladeji reported that sixty jerry cans of petroleum products that were being trafficked outside the nation were also seized by NCS agents.

The team leader tried to enlist people’s assistance and cooperation by providing wise information that would help authorities halt actions that seriously jeopardize the public’s health and the country’s economy.
