Dowen college has announced the temporary closure of the school in the wake of the controversies surrounding the death of one of its students.
A young boy, Sylvester Oromoni was reportedly beaten to death at a Lagos school for refusing to join a cult.
According to Perrie, an uncle to the 12-year-old boy who was bullied and beaten, via the microblogging platform, Twitter, revealed that his cousin until his death was a student of a college in Lagos State who was beaten to death by his peers for refusing to join a cult.
However, the school released a statement saying that the boy had injured himself in the hip while playing football. The incident has sparked a lot of outrage with most Nigerians demanding for justice.
In a recent development, the school has sent a circular to parents and guardians that the school will be closed for two days.
