D’Tigers slump in FIBA ranking

 

Unlike their women counterparts, whose current feat at the just concluded Paris 2024 Olympics games pushed it upwards in the latest Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA), Nigeria’s D’ Tigers dropped four places in the latest ranking released on Thursday.

The country’s men’s basketball team slumped from 39th to 42nd position in the ranking.

The former African champions garnered 299.7 points during the month under review.

D’Tigers are currently ranked the sixth best team in Africa.

South Sudan are currently the best ranked country on the continent

Coted’Ivoire, Angola, Tunisia and Egypt complete the top five teams in Africa.
