The President of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat, has expressed shock over the the tragic collapse of the school building of Saints Academy College in Jos.
The incident resulted in the heartbreaking death of 22 students and left 132 others injured last Friday in Jos.
The ECWA President extends deepest sympathies to the affected families and the entire community in Jos over the ugly development.
Dr. Bagat in a statement in Jos which was made available to New National star emphasized on the importance of prioritizing the safety and well-being of children.
He called for enhanced safety measures and strict adherence to building regulations to prevent future tragedies.
He also urged relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the collapse and hold those responsible accountable.
According to him,in this difficult time, Rev Bagat called for unity among Christians to support and show compassion to the affected families.
He encouraged individuals and organizations to provide support through donations and voluntary services.
“The ECWA will continue to stand in solidarity with the affected families, offering humanitarian services, guidance, prayers, and assistance as needed.”
Rev. Dr. Bagat expressed his trust in God to grant peace, strength, and healing to the grieving families during this challenging time.
