As this year Eid-el-Kabir festival holds on Tuesday, a governorship aspirant in Osun State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon John Fasogbon, has congratulated Muslims for witnessing this year’s occasion.
Hon Fasogbon, in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, asked Muslim faithful in the state and Nigeria as a whole to live the meaning of the Eid-el-Kabir, by submitting to the will of Allah and wishing one another well.
According to Ife born politician, “We should be thankful for the gift of life as we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir” he said, while tasking faithful to pray for the peace of Osun state and the country at large on the enthronement of good governance.
“As Muslim faithful, we must live our lives in such a way to demonstrate the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir always”.
“We must strive to obey Allah’s injunctions, we must be kind to ourselves, protect human dignity and be ready to serve one another,” Hon Fasogbon admonished.
“Over the years, it is an open secret that the PDP-led government has restored hope and happiness to the Nigerian state and with more support and cooperation from the people, the future looks brighter and promising,” Hon Fasogbon added.
