FCT Police recover weapons from six allege armed robbers.

According to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command, at least six alleged armed robbers have been taken into custody by its agents stationed at the Utako Divisional Headquarters.

The synchronized raid operation was conducted on Tuesday, according to a statement made by SP Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer for the FCT Police.

She said that the suspects were apprehended in an incomplete medical facility that had previously been identified as a “black spot” in the Utako hamlet, based on reliable intelligence.

The suspects, who are all from nearby states that surround the Federal Capital Territory, are one Basara Hassan, Daniel Charles, Adamu M. Oshiaka, Chancy Asidi, and Saliu Al Hassan.

The PPRO disclosed that the suspects had wraps containing what seemed to be marijuana, two live cartridges, and a handgun manufactured locally.

She claims that after more examination of the discovered ammo, Yusuf Iliyasu, the leader of the syndicate and an ex-convict, was apprehended as a second suspect.

The statement continued, “CP Benneth C. Igweh, Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, wishes to assure residents of his unwavering commitment to make Abuja a hell for criminals and to ensure safety of everyone while the investigation is ongoing.”
