Female reps aspirant, Aida waves flag as PDP kicks off campaigns in Benue South

Incoming House of Representatives Member for Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Barr. Aida Nath Ogwuche yesterday took custody of and publicly waved the flag of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as a symbolic charge to head to victory at the polls.

This became one of the highpoints of the flag-off of the Sen. Abba Moro Senatorial campaigns which took place in Otukpo, Benue State. Sen. Abba Moro is the PDP flag-bearer for Benue South Senatorial District. Considering that his ambition ranks highest in the Senatorial District, it played host to other flag-bearers within the zone.

Barr. Aida who emerged victorious at the party primaries was handed the flag of the People’s Democratic Party at the event which was attended by the Benue State Governor and other leaders and critical stakeholders across spectrum. She waved the flag to the admiration of many and received the charge of victory. Other flag-bearers also received and waved the party flag.

Governor Samuel Ortom while giving the flag-off charge said the People’s Democratic Party was poised for victory and enjoined party men and women to work hard to ensure victory. He commended Sen. Abba Moro’s leadership style and said it he deserves reelection, calling on the people to retain confidence in his ability to continue to proffer good leadership.

A visibly delighted Aida who received cheers of admiration from supporters said she was overwhelmed by the love shown her and appreciated God Almighty, the PDP and the people. She urged the people to sustain their love for the PDP by voting the party at the general elections.

Addressing the press, the Director-General, Aida Nath Campaign Organization and Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government, Chief James Oche appreciated God for grace and thanked the party for finding Barr. Aida worthy. He enjoined her supporters to remain steadfast and prayerful and expressed optimism that the British trained lawyer will carry the day at the polls.

With the flag-off, the whistle has been blown for full campaigns up to the election.
