FG to work with traditional rulers, LGs

To spread developments across the nation, President Bola Tinubu has called for increased cooperation between the federal, local, and traditional leaders.
Tinubu made the statement on Wednesday in Lagos during an event held in his honor by the state government and populace of Lagos State.

He claimed that in order to give people at the grassroots level the infrastructural and socioeconomic development they require, the authority of traditional rulers and the local government will be balanced.

He noted that by offering education, expanding enrollment through the school feeding program, and ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality primary healthcare, local governments can support the numerous initiatives aimed at putting an end to poverty and terrorism.

In order to guarantee that traditional rulers receive constitutional functions and local governments have independence, the president pledged to collaborate with the National Assembly.

According to Tinubu, the federal government would keep working to guarantee that every Nigerian, regardless of racial, religious, or political affiliation, benefits from democracy.

He continued by saying that the youthful, energetic men and women on his team are capable and effective in carrying out the Renewed Hope Agenda.
