This was said in a statement by Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, in response to attacks on a few communities in the Plateau State local government areas of Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi.
He stated that the federal government sent its condolences to the families of the victims and vehemently denounced the recent atrocities in the North Central State.
According to the minister, President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and other pertinent government organizations to send relief supplies to the impacted areas.
“Everyone is on deck across the security and intelligence agencies at the federal level to scale up intelligence-gathering and crisis-response efforts,” he said.
“The recent killings in the Plateau State local government areas of Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi are strongly denounced by the Federal Government of Nigeria.”
We would like to reaffirm the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to protecting every square inch of Nigerian land and making sure that every criminal activity committed by terrorists, bandits, and militants is met with force and determination.
“President Tinubu has instructed the security agencies to make certain that the individuals responsible for these horrible murders are apprehended and prosecuted.”
