Firm To Host Summit On New Revenue Source in Lagos

The Lagos State government and Modo Ante announced yesterday that they had finalized the arrangements for the much awaited Eko Revenue Plus Summit (ERPS), which they hope will open up new revenue streams for the state.

“By leveraging technology and innovation, we can unlock ‘new money’ that will provide economic opportunities for Lagosians and more revenue for the Government to enhance Lagos State’s ability to improve the lives and livelihoods of Lagosians on all fronts,” stated Joko Okupe, the chief executive officer of Modo Ante, which organized the Summit in partnership with the Lagos State Government.

He claims that the Eko Revenue Plus Summit provides a forum for entrepreneurs to present concepts that have the potential to open up new sources of funding for the State.

“Sponsors and partners who attend the Summit will reap several rewards, such as increased visibility from broad exposure to a wide range of audiences, including international journalists, investors, business executives, and public authorities. Additionally, it offers strategic networking chances to establish connections with influential parties and decision-makers in order to create beneficial alliances and investigate fresh commercial ventures.

The speaker said that the Summit, originally scheduled for September 25–26, 2024, has been rescheduled for October 22–23, 2024, in order to allow for the participation of a wider variety of stakeholders.

Wema Bank, the major sponsor, and AlphaBeta, the co-sponsor, are steadfast in their commitment to supporting this important event, which is poised to signal a turning point in public-private sector cooperation for the financial future of the State.
