Flood: IPMAN seeks reversal of fuel price hike in Bayelsa

Bayelsa born business mogul and the State Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers  of Nigerian (IPMAN), Hon. Bello Bina has called for the immediate reversal of the arbitrary hike  in pump price of fuel, warning that the arbitrary increase is a deliberate act of imposing more hardship on the people of the State.
Bina said though the petrol tankers drivers are finding it difficult to convey products into the state due to the damaged parts of the East/West road, the Petroleum Marketers and owners of fuel stations should ensure that available products are put on sale at the usual pump price to avoid more suffering and avert noticeable rise in hoarding of petroleum products in the state.
Bello Bina, in a statement in Yenagoa while commiserating with the over One millions flood displaced persons, called on the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) to be proactive in the regulation of Petroleum pump prices in other to avert the hoarding of Petroleum products in the State.
 Bina further called on all filling Stations owners not to take  unnecessary advantage in  exploiting Bayelsans by hoarding Petroleum products for unhealthy fuel scarcity in the State.
“I therefore which to  call on all relevant agencies like NEMA, Federal ministry of Environment, Federal  Ministry of Health and the State Government to step up their concern for Flood victims in the State due to the untold hardship  orchestrate by this year flood on  Bayelsans”
“Thousands of families across the State are displace with no proper medical attention, I advised all Government agencies mandated to carry out various functions in ameliorating the plight of Bayelsans to do so in good faith and not taken advantage of Bayelsan by opening avenues for embezzlement and misappropriation of the funds appropriated for the  sake of alleviating the plight of flood victims for their self aggrandizement”
Hon. Bina advised all those  to benefit from the ongoing ‘BELLO BINA CARE’ for flood victim program not to play politics with his humanitarian gesture by under utilizing  the Palliatives for flood victims in this critical period of human survival.
Hon. Bina further thanked High Chief Government Egbombolo AKA Tompolo with his Tantita pipeline surveillance team  in Complementing the effort of IPMAN in curbing pipeline vandalism and illegal bunkering in the State, in other to keep our water’s unpolluted for the consumption of our already bastardize environment.
