Forget Supreme Court Verdict, esteem peace in Nasarawa-Speaker

Following the uprise and divisiveness that accompanied the supreme court verdict which validated the election of Governor Sule of Nasarawa State as the winner of the 18th March 2023 governorship election,the Speaker, State House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Danladi Jatau, has appealed to the people not to allow the supreme court verdict undermine the existing peace in the state.

The number one lawmaker in the state made the call at a reception organized by National Youth Council of Nigeria, Nasarawa State chapter to celebrate the Supreme Court verdict of Governor Abdullahi Sule , Thursday in Keffi LGA.

He said that no nation or society experience speedy development without peace, hence the need for all to shun acts capable of undermining existing peace in the state.

Rt Honourable Jatau also called on the people of the state to support the administration of Engr. Abdullahi Sule for more harvest of dividends of democracy.

” His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule is passionate about the people of the state. He is doing well in the area of peace, security and provision of infrastructure among others” He said.

The Speaker pointed out that with the Supreme Court verdict, Engr. Abdullahi Sule was destined to govern Nasarawa State.

He advocated for unity in diversity where the heterogenous nature of the state and its potentials will be harnessed for growth and development instead of creating crises.

He envisaged a better Nasarawa State where politics will be played devoid of primordial sentiments.

Danladi Jatau used the medium to appeal to youths and politicians to avoid utterances capable of over hitting the polity, saying all that Nasarawa State needs is development base on the aspirations of the founding fathers of the state.

New National Star report that the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau, the Chairman of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) Aliyu Bello and the State Accountant General, Dr Musa Ahmed Mohammed led politicians to the reception were the competence of Engr. Abdullahi Sule to turn the fortunes of the state was underscored and the need for harmonious living was also emphasized.
