Anambra State governor aspirant, Valentine Ozigbo, stated his manifesto in a meeting with citizens of the state which held on Monday.
The meeting which was hosted at the Transcorp Hilton Congress Hall was a heart-to-heart talk with the electorate Ozigbo who is running on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP0 hoped to win to his side and earn their favour.
The businessman and former Chief Executive Officer of the Transnational Corporation of Nigeria said that he would make running a business in Anambra State “fashionable” during his time in office as well as improve the state of security.
He said that Peter Obi, the governor of the state which served under PDP, was the last governor with a vision and the rule of Willie Obiano, present state governor under the umbrella of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has plunged the state into debt, a situation he hoped to reverse.
According to him, the position and change he has made happen in the Transnational Corporation of Nigeria and his years in business was a good enough foundation for the work he intended to do in the state.
Ozigbo first publicly declared his ambition to run for governor in 2019 and since the he has been gathering momentum. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set the state governorship elections for November 6, 2021.
Ozigbo described his campaign team as a “listening group” that was ready to apply advice and suggestions from stakeholders in the state. “We are not a finished product. We are a listening group. A group that will listen.”
