Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has called on all parties who have grievances to work together and let peace reign.
According to Fubara, the state needs unity since division would result from a lack of peace.
This occurs in the midst of his falling out with Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.
Fubara addressed yesterday at the Ogoni Day celebration in Bori Town, Khana Council, on behalf of his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
“There will be needless division without peace, so I want to call on everyone to join forces and let peace reign throughout the state,” he stated. Now, we don’t require that.
“Introducing development here is a key priority of this administration; we do not joke with all the councils in the senatorial district, in which Ogoni is a big block.
“You are aware that the government’s top priorities are security and electricity in Ogoni land, which we have discussed.”
