Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has dissolved the Dr. Othman Ahmed Ibrahim-led Management of the State-owned men’s football club, Nasarawa United.
The dissolution was announced by Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, on behalf of his principal duringĀ a meeting with the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango; Permanent Secretary, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, and SSA to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Sports Affairs, Comrade Hamza Ibrahim Moyi, alongside Management Members of the Club at his temporary office in Lafia, the State Capital on Tuesday
Nasarawa United which suffered relegation last season was among the firstĀ clubs to gain promotion back to the elite league, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) from the just concluded Nigeria National League (NNL) season
It however gathered that several stakeholders have been lobbying for management positions in the club, since it’s return to the elite league
The government noted that a new management committee of the club will be announced soon, before the August kick of date if the NPFL
