Gov. Sule inaugurates 15.5 km Kwara/Sisin-baki/Farin-Ruwa Road

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has inaugurated the 15.5 kilometres Kwara/ Sisin-Baki/Farin-Ruwa Road, as part of activities to commemorate his administration’s second anniversary.

Speaking during the inauguration on Saturday in Wamba Local Government Area, the governor said the road would open up the agriculture and tourism potentials in the area.

He explained that the state spent the sum of N2.5 billion on the road project.

Sule pointed out that the area has great agricultural and tourism potentials which had remained largely untapped.

According to him, the Farin Ruwa waterfalls located in the area is one of the best in the country, hence the desire to construct the road for easy access.

He noted that the construction of the road to Farin Ruwa water falls had started yielding result as it attracted the Federal Government to take over the dam in the area for hydro power generation.

The governor commended the Federal Government for approving over N8 billion for the completion of Farin-Ruwa multipurpose hydro power dam.

He said that the Federal Government has commenced work on the multipurpose hydro power dam and expressed hope that it would be delivered soon and according to specifications.

The governor, therefore, commended traditional rulers and other stakeholders in the area and urged them to sustain their support to the government and the contractors handling the projects.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Sule also was also at the palace of the traditional ruler, the “Oriye Rindre” of Wamba, Alh. Musa Nagogo, to pay homage.

The governor also held a town hall meeting with stakeholders to get feedback on the performance of his administration so far.
