The chief crusader of retirees in Kebbi State, Alhaji Babangida Garba Gwandu Danburra Gwandu has decried Kebbi government’s inhuman attitude towards the welfare and payment of gratuities to retired civil servants in Kebbi State.

Gwandu noted that, Bagudu has turned gratuities payments every year instead of at least monthly and the annoying thing according to him is he doesn’t pay all, he pays on a negligible percentage to retirees that will not be enough to offset their accumulated debts.

Regrettably, a lot of them have died waiting for their benefits while the government look the other way, he described as unfortunate the attitudes of Kebbi government.

He explained that backload of gratuities from 2016, 2017, 2018 and now 2020 hangs in the balance, he added that no retiree has ever been paid in full under Bagudu.

Gwandu dismissed the rumour that he has stopped leading his members to the Eid praying ground where they converge every Thursday to seek God’s interventions over the unpaid gratuities, he stated that till tomorrow the struggles in the mosque continues, “I will remain resolute despite criticism because its the joy of the struggles, we will continue to engage the State government until it meets the demands of the pressure group which is full payments of gratuities to all the retired workers in the state.

He urged his members to remain undeterred in the face of threats from government quarters and individuals who wants to distract them from fighting a noble course.
