Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has surpassed the 96-hour target and has now achieved a 100-hour record time.
Supporters at the cook-a-thon competition, taking place at the Amore Gardens, Lekki, are at the moment sharing videos of themselves cheering the young chef as well as celebrating her for achieving the milestone.
Hilda was initially scheduled to stop at 4 pm today culminating into her former 96-hour target.
Hilda made a historic feat on Monday, May 15, 2023, after she broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual.
Announcing her marathon cooking challenge extension from 96 to 100 hrs in an Instagram post on Monday afternoon, Baci’s best friend @ama_reginald wrote: ”’Let’s go. I asked my baby to make it a round figure, so we are doing 100hrs.”
As of 4:00 pm on Monday, Baci had cooked for 96 hours to surpass the previous record set by Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, in 2019.
Lata Tondon cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds to break the previous title.
Baci started her cooking marathon challenge four days ago at Amore Gardens.
