Osun State Commissioner for information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke says Governor Adegboyega Oyetola places high premium on citizens welfare and security alongside other masses oriented programmes of his administration aimed at making life more bearable for all.
Mrs. Egbemode dropped the hint while receiving some top members of staff of the Corporate Affairs Department of International breweries Plc Ilesha plant who were in her office on a courtesy call.
The team came to specifically inform the Commissioner about the series of activities lined up to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment.
Mrs Egbemode while appreciating the organization for its corporate social responsibilities over the years Particularly lauded the support it gave to the people in cushioning the effects of COVID 19 with the distribution of palliatives to the masses.
The Commissioner while highlighting Programmes and activities of the state government emphasised that her Ministry serves as the conduit pipe through which such actions and policies are effectively propagated to the people.
Describing the governor as people-friendly who is always prepared to put smiles on their faces, Mrs Egbemode told the visiting International breweries Ilesha delegation that plans are underway by the governor to increase the number of beneficiaries of Osun monthly food support Scheme which presently caters for thirty thousand people monthly.
Commending the organisation for its socio-economic contributions to the growth and development of Ilesha and the larger Society in the last 50 years, Mrs Egbemode congratulated it for its tenacity of purpose in keeping its dreams and aspirations aloft in the last 5 decades.
She noted the win-win relationship between International Breweries PLC, Ilesha and the state government, Mrs Egbemode on behalf of governor Adegboyega Oyetola further extended a hand of support and oneness to the Organisation which coincides with a time the state looks forward in few days to mark its 30 years of existence.
Speaking earlier, the Director of legal services and corporate affairs Department of the international breweries Plc Ilesha, plant, Mrs. Temitope Okuntokun, as the team leader of the visitors stated that the essence of the visit was basically to appreciate the governor and his administration.
Mrs Okuntokun was emphatic about the roles played by the state government of Osun on stemming the tide and spread of the dreaded coronavirus through mass sensitisation and enlightenment programmes carried out through the state Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation.
Mrs Okuntokun affirmed the readiness of her establishment to give necessary support and assistance when the time comes.
The highlight of the courtesy visit was the presentation of the state government souvenirs to the visitors by Mrs Egbemode.
