The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof. Charles Soludo said he led the 12 prominent Igbos leaders to Abuja, to facilitate the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in 2017. Prof. Soludo also noted that he would continue protecting the interest of the Igbo in all their endeavors and incorporate them in his administration, especially in making public policies.
The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, stated this while addressing APGA members and supporters at a rally at Attani, headquarters of Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State. “Let me remind us that I have been championing the course of the Igbo. He emphasized that APGA’s leadership under Governor Willie Obiano remains the best and had touched every sector of development. The governorship candidate promised to deploy his professionalism and political expertise in providing the needs of the people, added that his urban renewal programme would commence simultaneously in the state.
