Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has inaugurated performance improvement committee in the Abia state Hospital Management Board(HMB), and charged them to oversee and champion projects that will enhance service delivery and internally Generated Revenue(IGR) of the Hospital Management Board.
Governor Ikpeazu,who was represented by his Deputy,Sir Udo oko Chuku on Tuesday at the Government House Umuahia, equally charged the committee members to review and approve monthly verification and attendance monitoring report of the Board.
He said that Government has resolved to ensure that the services of HMB be improved.
He called for the suspended workers who are on the’No show list’ and who have appealled for reinstatement be considered on retroactive pay.
He congratulated all members on their nomination and charged them to take advantage of their expertise and pedigree to ensure that the State Hospital Management Board performs optimally.
Responding on behalf of the newly inaugurated members, the Chairman, Hospital Management Board, Mr Amaechi Mboma and his Committe counterpart, Dr Felix Chiwendu Joe, represented by the Secretary, Christian Ugwumadu thanked the Governor for finding them worthy to serve and contribute to the great service delivery the present administration is known for and assured that they will discharge their responsibilities creditably.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Sir Don Ubani other Top Government Officials were present during the inauguration.
