Incessant kidnapping in Nasarawa,Gov Sule summons head of security’s

Lafia the capital city of Nasarawa State in recent has been under serious security threats as activities of bandits is on the rise.

There was hardly any week pass bye that excluded report of kidnapping , arm robbery nor some form of criminal activity,although the police and other security agents have always ensured that the menace is curtle,but there appears to be a bit of handicapcy.

But Governor Abdullahi Sule in his drive for peace and safety of citizens of the state on Monday summons all the heads of security’s in the state for an emergency meeting in attempt to nip in the bud the raising kidnapping in the state.

Diringly the governor while charging the security heads on the need to intensified intelligence gathering and security asserted that“Tell me what you need, I shall provide them so we can secure our people and their properties.

” Unfortunately, some of the criminal activities we only hear of in distant places are creeping into our state capital. We cannot afford to be complacent. We will seek for support and do all it takes to safeguard our people”Governor Sule vowed.

Following the governor’s drive and determination ,the police commissioner Umar Shehu Nadada has said that the police and other security agencies are seriously working toward addressing the challenges and ensure that the entire state is secured.

Nadada added that the state government had promised to further assist the police and other sister agencies with more logistics to enable them tackle the menace.

He said that security is not just the responsibility of the government and security agencies alone, but, a collective responsibility and urged every citizen to partner the police on that regard.

“Members of the public must support us and assist us with useful information about criminals and thier hideouts to enable us tackle them and ensure that all communities are safe.

“We are ready at anytime to respond when the public gives us information about criminals, because that is our mandate” CP Nadada added.
