Zamfara state government has said it has no intention to enter into any dialogue or reconciliation with bandits who have invaded the state for over a decade eliminating innocent citizens and destroying their properties.
This was disclosed by the newly appointed sole administrator of Maradun Local Government area of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Giwa Maradun shortly after he swore in new five councilors who were also appointed to represent their respective wards in the running of the affairs of the local government.
Alh. Giwa explained that it is in line with Dauda’s agenda that over his dead body should he sit, or listen to any criminal but rather to confront him, and that no amount of persuasion from any quarter will make him rescind his decision.
The sole administrator explained that it is a known fact that the area, like every other one across the 14 local governments with regard to insecurity has been overtaken by the hoodlums, and thus on no account should the government fold its arms and allow its people suffer in the hands of bandits.
Yahaya stated that as the issue of insecurity remains everybody’s business, the need to unite collectively by the people is imperative, considering the fact that government alone cannot do it. “we all know how hard it is to fight criminals, therefore on this note there is need for everyone of us to join hand with government, irrespective of political, tribal or religious inclination with a view to putting an end to this calamity.
We should also forget whether one is of the APC, PDP or APGA, bandit don’t know that, because it is not written on the forehead of anybody that only a member of certain party should be spared.”
He explained further that people should ignore any call from any part of the state who are spreading rumour that the government is planning to reconcile with invading bandits, instead, they should always think of how to fearlessly confront them and kill them as it is the only way out. “like it has always been said that success come after tears, it is actually time and therefore we have to be ready for that we have to be ready of sacrificing our lives, time and wealth to save ourselves though we appreciate the efforts being made by our able security operative.
