Insecurity: Zamfara ‘ll soon regain its lost glory, says Information Commissioner

Communities in Zamfara have again been reminded for the third time, to embark on massive prayer for God’s intention in the current insecurity situation bedeviling the state and other calamities leading to the destruction of the state economically and educationally.
Similarly, they were tasked to maintain their status of being law abiding which they have known for over a century, and respecting one another as well as being their brothers keepers.

Alhaji Manir Haidara Kaura, the commissioner of information and culture of the state made this charge at a forum in Gusau the state capital over the weekend.

The commissioner explained that there is also need for the people to continue to rally round the present administration in the state which aims among other things to give the state a total transformation both economically and educationally and according to him, all these cannot be achieved without peace.

Mannir stated that the aim of the present government of the state is to take the state to a greater height especially the rural areas where more than 80% of the populace reside, “it’s intention of the Dauda Lawan Dare led government to give the positive change, particularly in the area of infrastructure which the state lacked for almost 27 years after it’s creation.
He further explained that as long as the state is led by Dauda Lawan, Zamfara will regain its lost glory, adding that,” our state was known with the status of being the most peaceful one across the nation but events changed which we hope to restore by God’s grace. As at now, government of the state under Lawan is doing everything possible within it’s reach to make the state a crime free one.

The commissioner therefore solicited for the continues support and cooperation of the people of the state, which he described as the most needed ingredients that will lead to the actualization of the dream of the government of ridding the state of crime and criminality. ” I am sure with support and cooperation of the governed, government can easily achieve all that its supposed to be done and that is why we appeal to all and sundry to keep everything aside and concentrate on prayer, because it is the strongest weapon of fighting any crime.

Commenting further, Haidara regrettably said Zamfara state that was created about 27 years ago but can still not boost of anything in terms of development, it is disheartening”, he concluded.
