Remember that since his arrest in Kenya and return to Nigeria in 2021, Nnamdi Kanu has been detained by the DSS.
On December 15, the Supreme Court overturned the Appeal Court’s decision and granted him a trial on the terrorism-related accusations the Federal Government had brought against him.
IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful stated in a statement on Sunday that Kanu needs immediate, specialist medical attention in order to prevent catastrophic consequences.
According to allegations that have reached IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is experiencing medical issues while being held in solitary confinement by the DSS. According to the article, Kanu might be suffering from internal bleeding brought on by severe torture.
“The internal bleeding disorders and ruptured veins that resulted from the beating and torture he endured at the hands of the Nigerian secret operatives who abducted him in Kenya in 2021 may be the cause of his current physical condition.
Furthermore, Kanu’s drug usage and overuse at the hands of DSS might possibly be contributing factors to the issue. In order to have surgery and ensure his survival, our leader needs immediate medical attention outside of the DSS facility.
“Even the medical director of the DSS concurs that Kanu needs significant and immediate medical attention in order to manage his case. In order to prevent the unanticipated situation, the federal and British governments should release Kanu on medical grounds so that he can receive care from independent medical professionals and, if required, have surgery.
“The Federal Government has to exercise caution to ensure that Kanu is not harmed both during and after his unlawful imprisonment in solidarity custody with the DSS. Biafrans have sacrificed their lives to defend Kanu, whom they view as a priceless gem, and many more are willing to do the same. The group continued, “Kanu is a trigger for the gun that, if handled improperly, has the potential to sink Nigeria.”
