Following his dismissal by President Bola Tinubu, Babatunde Irukera, the former CEO of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), has stated he will make his voice known when the time is right.
Irukera made his remarks in response to a request from a user named X to address a claim that he was fired because he was unable to carry out his job responsibilities.
Irukere was removed from his position as Chief Executive of the FCCPC, and Tinubu gave the Senate an explanation of why in a letter.
The letter stated that Irukera was fired because he was unable to carry out his office’s responsibilities efficiently and that it is now necessary to rearrange and realign important federal entities in order for efficiency and effectiveness.
A user on X, @MalachyOdo1, expressed disagreement with the letter’s contents and said, “Mr. Irukere needs to speak up at this point.”
Irukera, however, responded on Friday on X, stating he will speak up when the moment is appropriate.
After a while, he remarked. Quietness is strength, not weakness.
