Joe Ajaero NLC President, will honor police invitation once more this week.

According to Joe Ajaero, the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), he will be visiting the police headquarters this week to accept another invitation from the force.
According to Naija News, security officials, especially the Police and the Department of State Services (DSS), have been closely examining Ajaero lately.

Speaking to a gathering of laborers and union representatives in Lagos over the weekend, Ajaero said that attempts to threaten and stifle organized labor will ultimately fail.

“The state just arrested and detained me in an obvious attempt to threaten and impede our movement. They expected us to find misbehavior, but we haven’t wavered. We must all continue to sustain this spirit, according to Ajaero.

On Wednesday, September 25, he did, however, declare that he would answer the last police summons that had been sent to him.

“We honored the state’s summons to answer to some allegations on August 29,” stated the president of the NLC. “We shall honor another one, this time at the police headquarters in Abuja, on the 25th of this month.”

“Let me say that the honesty with which we conduct ourselves, in addition to our resolve, is what gives our movement strength.

“Our hands must be clean and our hearts pure so that our opponents will have nothing to use against us when they come as they may. You have personally witnessed it, comrades.

They are able to block every roadblock in our way, but they are unable to split us apart. We need to be on guard, together, and prepared to meet whatever comes our way.

Ajaero expressed the gratitude of the NLC to all foreign organizations, particularly those connected to the international trade union community, for their unwavering assistance to the labor movement throughout its recent challenges.

The Congress of South African Trade Unions, PSI, the International Labour Organization, the International Labour Organization, the International Trade Union Confederation, the Trade Union Congress, the Trade Union Congress of the UK, IndustriALL Global Union, the German Federation of Trade Unions, LO Norway, and all the patriotic Nigerians are especially appreciated.

“We are incredibly appreciative of your collective voices denouncing the government’s actions against the NLC and its leadership,” Ajaero stated.
