Both the old and new naira notes will continue to be accepted as lawful money, the Supreme Court decided on Wednesday.
The old N200, N500, and N1000 notes are to coexist till further notice, under the court’s order.
The Federal Government must establish a procedure for replacing or redesigning the notes after consulting with all pertinent parties, according to the ruling of the supreme court. Until then, both the old and new notes are in use.
