Kidnappers have demanded N100m ransom for the release of a former aide to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Mr. Richard Omosehin.
Omosehin was kidnapped on Saturday by gunmen who stormed his residence at Igbekebo, headquarters of Ese Odo Local Government Area.
According to sources, the kidnappers arrived in the community on a speed boat and went to the residence of the victim from where he was dragged into the boat and they sped off.
“The incident happened at about 2am on Saturday. People invited the police but by the time the policemen arrived at the scene, the kidnappers had taken the man away. ”
Monarch of Igbekebo town, Oba Simon Dabo, who spoke in a radio programme, said the victim was allowed to call his wife from the kidnappers’ den and said his abductors were demanding N100 million for his release.
The spokesman for the Ondo Police, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, said efforts were ongoing to set the victim free unhurt.
