President Bola Tinubu has denounced the frequency of kidnappings occurring throughout the nation and stated that those responsible should be considered terrorists.
During a Ramadan meal on Tuesday, Tinubu made this statement in the presence of members of the Federal judiciary, including Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
Kidnappers ought to be treated like terrorists. The president declared, “They are cowards.”
They’ve been treated poorly. They search for pliable targets. They abduct children from schools and sow discontent.
“To get rid of them, and I assure you that we will, we must treat them the same as terrorists.”
Serving and retired judges attended the event, including Justice Mahmud Mohammed and Justice Walter Onnoghen, two former CJNs.
