This summer, Kelechi Iheanacho will leave Leicester City, a transfer insider named Dean Jones has revealed.
There have been no discussions about an extension for Iheanacho’s contract with Leicester City, which is set to expire in June.
Additionally, this season, the forward has not made a consistent appearance for the Foxes.
For Enzo Maresca’s team, the 27-year-old has made 25 league appearances and scored six goals.
Jones anticipates that at the end of the season, the Nigerian international will sign a free transfer from Leicester City.
It appears that he will be leaving Leicester, and going forward, traveling to Turkey seems to be the most likely course of action.
“Even though it appears to be early in his career, one of the teams for him is Trabzonspor, and these kinds of options might have to become very real,” Jones stated to GIVEMESPORT.
“From Leicester’s perspective, it doesn’t seem like a smart move to keep him around as he is one of the team’s higher earners and he has only started ten games in a season when they are trying to win the Championship.”
In 2017, Iheanacho moved from Manchester City to Leicester City.
