LG Chairmanship Election: We will together rule Nnewi says Ikegwuonu

…As he declares interest to contest

The Chairman of Agboedo Motor Parts,Nnewi, Anambra State,Mr Denis Uchenna Ikegwuonu has declared his interest to contest for the chairmanship position in upcoming Local Government Election,on September, 28.

The declaration which was made in his residence in Umudim, Nnewi attracted market leaders,Charismatic Group, Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance,Hon. Tony Muodelo, APGA executives,Members of UDA among others.

Speaking during the occasion, Mr Ikegwuonu expressed his immense gratitude to God Almighty and for the people that came out massively to honour his invitation.

He outlined his Seven Reshape Agenda as; “Road,Transport/ Traffic
management, Education and research development, Security of lives/ properties, Health care delivery, Agriculture/food security, Power, energy/ technology, Economic empowerment”

He also said Rule of law/ order,environment and waste,Sports development, Housing development, Arts,culture and Entertainment, physical infrastructure and Empowerment for the youth would not be neglected under his watch.

Mr Ikegwuonu said his influence as President General of Uru Development Association(UDA) attracted the support of their illustrious sons ;Chief Innocent
Ifediaso Chukwuma,CEO Innoson Motors and Chief Chika C Okafor,CEO Chicason Group.

“Innoson sponsored a project worth over 15 million Naria to mount Solar street lights in strategic places and also donated transformer to his community, Uru ,Chicason on the other hand donated another transformer yet to be mounted” he said.

Having seen his achievements, Mr Ikegwuonu disclosed that all the chairmen of the market,executives of Motor parts, Charismatic group,his people, Indigenes and non indigenes supported him for this position.

He urged executives of APGA to give him ticket adding that since 2013 till date that he has put his undiluted loyalty and resources to the party.

“What I did in Motor parts would be small to what I am going to do in Nnewi if given the opportunity” he added

Party Chairman, Nnewi North Local Government, Hon. Tony Muodelo Classic who spoke having heard from Mr Ikegwuonu, prayed that God would honour his desire.

Classic said they accepted his plea but would not respond immediately.

“If it is the will of God ,it will be granted unto you.You have become our no one” he said.

Hon Muodelo disclosed that since Governor Soludo took over the power,he has been moving things smoothly adding that they need someone that would compliment the efforts of the Governor.

“It has to be people’s choice.Whatever the masses decide will be taken ” he added.
