According to Bello Maigari, Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund, the President’s 2024 budget shows great promise for almost every sector of the nation.
Noting that the president has set the groundwork for creating a robust and wealthy Nigeria, Maigari declared that Nigeria should bid adieu to unemployment with the budget of restored hope.
This was said by Maigari in Abuja during the Tinubu/Shettima Youth Vanguard conference.
The head of the NLTF, who was present as a Special Guest at the group meeting, Muhammad Auwal Adamu, signed a statement stating that the President had been steadfast and focused in his determination to restore Nigeria’s greatness, in keeping with his “Renewed Hope Agenda.”
“The budget holds great prospects for all sectors, including employment creation, macroeconomic stability, defense, internal security, and investment environment,” the speaker stated.
Additionally, it has excellent promise for maximizing young potential, developing human capital, reducing poverty, and enhancing social security.
“With this budget of renewed hope, Nigeria is bidding adieu to unemployment as small businesses and trades will be encouraged, and jobs will be created internally.” Social and skill development will also take place.
“Investment is a guaranteed win as well, and security is positioned for a 100% gain.
“Many international investors will be drawn in by sufficient security, which will ultimately result in the development of more jobs.
“As the head of a government organization tasked with advancing an inclusive social intervention program, I am confident that the President has made the right decision and that Nigerians’ prayers have been heard with the renewed hope budget.
“President Tinubu is the first in Nigerian history to present a budget that is not biased toward the ruling class, but instead directly addresses the problems of the masses with immediate, long-lasting solutions.”
He claimed that after the abolition of oil subsidies, the Tinubu administration has saved Nigeria trillions of Naira in less than a year.
According to Maigari, the actions made it possible for the government to reduce fuel subsidy spending and reallocate funds to the enhancement of the school system, healthcare system, and other infrastructure projects.
According to Maigari, the Tinubu administration is working with state and local government councils to resonate the renewed hope agenda, which aims to lower poverty in the nation and give low-income earners a means of subsistence. This collaboration is intended to encourage and develop outstanding leadership at the grassroots level.
Nigeria is bound for greatness, he added, “going by the measures put in place that include reviewing existing tax and fiscal policies, targeted increase in GDP, robust industrial activities to grow every sector.”
