Meet first Black woman to own club in Italy

Nigerian-born former British footballer Eniola Aluko recently made history as the FIRST black woman to own a football club in Italy.

The 37-year-old Eniola Aluko invested over $100m as part of mercury 13 group to acquire the FC Como women’s team in Italy.

Eniola Aluko was ex England, Chelsea ladies and Juventus player. She was the first Sporting Director for Angel City FC of the American National women’s soccer league and Sporting Director for Aston Villa Women FC.

Eniola Aluko was born in Lagos, Nigeria before she moved to Birmingham, England, at 6 months old. She made 102 appearances for the England women’s national team from 2004 to 2016.
