Mercy and her spouse, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, had a baby boy in 2023.
However, once the couple revealed the baby’s face, it was rumoured that the infant was fathered by gospel performer Nathaniel Bassey.
Mercy claimed in a video posted on her Instagram page on Tuesday that Eezeetee was responsible for financing the fake news because he hated Nathaniel Bassey.
She reaffirmed some of the arguments raised by her lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, in a letter posted on social media on January 25.
Mercy stated that she did not file any legal action against the former manager regarding her music portfolio, claiming that Eezeetee was playing the victim despite being a bully.
According to the ‘Excess Love’ singer, the toxicity of her relationship with Eezeetee compelled her to move from Lagos to Port Harcourt.
Mercy stated that the current internet bullying and threats are nothing compared to what she experienced while with Eezeetee.
“He looked at me and said, ‘I made you who you are, and I will destroy you.'” I felt afraid for my life, and I had to relocate from Lagos to Port Harcourt because this man made the environment toxic for me. I’ve experienced bullying. I’ve faced threats. What he’s doing on social media now is nothing compared to what I went through.
“I’ve experienced bullying. I’ve faced threats. What he’s doing on social media now is nothing compared to what I went through. You took my royalties for two years; you’re a bully. You are an oppressor.
“One of my major offenses was recording a song with preacher Nathaniel Bassey. Because this man despises Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, you even sponsored phony stories about an innocent child, my son. And you claimed my son was not my son. And you paid bloggers because you despised Pastor Jerry Eze. You did not want me to go to his function. I must fight beside you against those you oppose.
