Neutralizing three terrorists, the soldiers of Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) in Zamfara also retrieved three AK-47 weapons, three magazines, ammo, and two working motorcycles.
In the State capital of Gusau, a senior military commander informed reporters that the troops had also prevented the destruction of farm produce in Faru village in Maradun Local Government Area and thwarted a terrorist attack on Danjibga village in the Tsafe Local Government Area, both within the same State.
“The combined Troops of Operation Hadarain Daji (OPHD) prevented a terrorist attack on Danjibga village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State on December 7, 2023, after intense firefighting that resulted in the neutralization of two terrorists and the escape of others with gunshot wounds,” he said.
During their pursuit of the terrorists, the forces found two AK-47 firearms, two magazines, and one motorcycle.
Likewise, on the same day, there was another clash between the OPHD forces and the roving terrorists as a result of reliable reports that the terrorists had destroyed agricultural crops and farmlands in the Faru village general area of the Maradun Local Government Area of the State.
The tenacious soldiers of OPHD moved into combat patrol mode right away, engaging the terrorists in a gunfight that sent them scattering.
One terrorist was eliminated during the confrontation, and an AK-47 gun, magazine, ammunition, and motorcycle were found. The motorcycle was instantly wrecked.
