Griefs enveloped the scene Friday morning when the Nigeria Armed Forces laid the remains of its officials who died while battling criminal elements in Niger State to rest.
The burial which took place at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja witnessed the presence of bereaved families, members of the Armed Forces and friends of the falling soldiers.
Minister of Defence, Muhammed Badaru; Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle; Deputy Governor of Niger State, Yakubu Garba; Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa; and other service chiefs were present to bid the departed heroes farewell.
The funeral began with the arrival of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, around 9:46 am. Also in attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Gwabin Musa, and other service chiefs.
