Mohammed Hussaini, Abba Khalid Return As Wounded Tornadoes Storm Yenagoa On A Big Mission

The Ikon Allah Boys are set to tackle Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa for this weekend’s NPFL Match Day 23 tie slated for Saturday.

Tornadoes are seeking redemption after a painful home defeat last weekend to Rangers Int’l which had put a dent on the team’s race for survival.

Fully fit Mohammed Hussaini and fully ready Abba Khalid are a boost for the Minna based outfit ahead of the all important road clash. Hussaini missed the Rangers game as a result of minor knock but the influencial and versertile center back is back in the fold. Abba Khalid who experienced a blip in performance and was put under a close monitoring, missed a number of matches, but equally back in the team to make a claim for a starting bert.

Yahuza Bala’s second half strike was the different between the two teams during the first leg encounter in Kaduna and the Ikon Allah Boys are desperate for points on the road to make up for the lost ground in the survival race.

The Yenagoa based club are on an impressive run of form since the commencement of the second stanza of the league, a stunning victory in Eket against Akwa United buttresses this fact.

Niger Tornadoes on the other hand started the second stanza on a promising note with a narrow defeat in Katsina and a win against Abia Warriors, but the Rangers loss last weekend had set the good work backwards and needing a quick turn around in performance to guarantee survival and tomorrow’s encounter presents a chance.
