The Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress winner of the last Wednesday Local Government Councils election.
The Commission Chairman, Ayuba Wandai, who announced the result in the late hours of Thursday, said the ruling Party clinched the Chairmanship position of all the 13 Local Government Councils as well as the 147 Councillorship seats.
According to him seven Political Parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) participated in the election.
Wandai who declined to mention the total number of votes cast, the valid and invalid votes, neither votes scored by winners and the defeated candidates, said there was no need to announced the figure on the ground that Journalists might have gotten it at the end of the exercise in the polling units.
He commended the Political Parties and other stakeholders for their cooperation and support towards making the exercise a success.
It would be recalled that the State Independent Electoral Commission on Wednesday conducted a Local Government Councils election in the area.
The exercise has been adjudged by some people in the State as a Gallup one due to malpractices, late arrival of materials and other issues that took place in some Polling Units.
