Nasarawa recycling plant work reaches advanced stage

Nasarawa State Government said work on the proposed waste recycling plant at Angwan Rere, has reached an advanced stage.

The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Musa Ibrahim disclosed this during an interview in Lafia, the State Capital.
According to him the structures being built in the site have reached near completion, adding that equipments such as friction Washer, dewater Machine, among others are currently being installed.
Ibrahim, who explained that the proposed recycling Plant when completed and put to use will provide Job opportunity for not less than 500 people, said it will also turn waste in the State into wealth.
The Commissioner who revealed that already there are off- takers who have indicated interest to purchase the finished products, said in due time Nasarawa State would be counted among the most cleanest States in the Country because waste commodities would be scarce in all nooks and crannies of the State.
Ibrahim who commended the Federal Government through the Ecological Office for citing the recycling Plant in the State, opined that the move will further boost the economy and Financial base of the state.
He thanked the people of the State for complying to government directive against dumping of refuge in water ways during this raining session as well as open defecation.
