In a bid to strengthen the ties between the Nasarawa State FA and clubs affiliated to the body, The chairman, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima (Dan Iyan Kwandere) accompanied by his Vice, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Shigafarta (Majekiran Keffi) visited Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) side, Nasarawa Amazons in training.
Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima disclosed that the visit became necessary owing to the fact that the team will begin their quest for glory in the NWPL when they visit Naija Ratels in one of Match Day 1 fixtures of the season.
“I am here before you this morning to appreciate you, to thank you for the efforts you have been putting in to make the government and entire people of Nasarawa State proud. Before I came on board as the Chairman of Nasarawa State Football Association, I have been following your activities within and outside the state, and it showed that you are very good representatives. As you are starting your league on Wednesday, we pray that the almighty Allah will guide you, protect you and give you an away victory on the first Match Day so that you can make we and the government of Nasarawa State proud”.
“Finally, you know as a new person I don’t have money like our Mother (your chairperson). What I have to offer this morning are two balls and a little token of a Hundred Thousand Naira”.
“For this reason I want to assure you of our total cooperation with the Chairperson and the Technical Crew to see how we can help you continue making our State proud inshallah, He concluded”.
In her statement, The Chairperson of Nasarawa Amazons, Hajjia Hussiana Sulieman Nagogo thanked the Chairman and his entire board for their kind gesture as she prays that this new working partnership will lead both parties to greater achievements.
“This is the first time we are meeting a group from FA which I am really proud of and you know without the FA, most of the things will not go as it is to go. Now we have someone who has love for this game, he has spoken about these things and now the ball is in your court. If you do well, his actions will surprise you. That I can promise you. So I won’t take much of your time. We appreciate you, the board members present who are working with you. Almost everybody that are around are in your interests, which means you all need to do the needful, she rounded up”.
While Speaking on behalf of the players, Adebisi thanked the Chairman and his entourage as she promised on behalf of her teammates that they will not leave any stone unturn till Nasarawa Amazons return to where they belong, which is to qualify for the super 6 and the win the NWPL and then represent Nigeria in CAF.
Ikorodu City faced Imperial FC, Dosu Joseph Football Club were up against Tripple 44 and Dino FC battled Corinthians on day 2 of Lagos Supremacy Cup.
Meanwhile, Broad City aimed to maintain their spotless form in a cracker with Mavlon. 36 Lion also had to navigate past tricky DN10, with a win firmly on their minds at Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
The focus then turned to the last fixture of the day where both SGFC Athletics and FC Bethel went in search of a first win of the competition.

Dino SC back on track
Dino SC bounced back from their opening-day defeat with a 3-1 win over Corinthians.
Stephen Ende headed Dino SC in front, but Ephenus Alfred restored parity for Corinthians.
Quick goals from Hassan Agbede and Ogbonna Okoro put Dino SC in control of the battle.
The result leaves Dino SC with three points, while Corinthians are still pointless.
Flawless Broad City
Broad City continued their flawless start to the tournament with a 2-1 victory against Mavlon.
Ayomide Bakare was the hero with a double. Golden Eaglets starlet Charles Agada halved the scoreline with his second goal of the competition.
Lion roars over DN10
Seun Lawal’s goal wrapped up a 2-0 win for 36 Lion against DN10, their second victory of the Scouting tourney.
Bangoura Mohammed opened the scoring in the 17th minute.
SGFC the draw specialists
It was another point to take home for SGFC as they mustered a 1-1 draw against FC Bethel.
