Nasarawa to reopen schools

The Nasarawa State Ministry of Education has announced the date for resumption of public and private schools in the state.
Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Hajiya Fatu Sabo stated this in a statement signed by the permanent secretary in the ministry, Alhaji Mohammed Bala and made available to newsman in Lafia the state capital.
The statement reads that: “In keeping with the 2022/2023 school academic calendar, the honourable commissioner, ministry of education, wishes to announce the school resumption for first-term,2022/2023 Academic session for all public and private schools in the State.
” As follows, Sunday 18th September 2022 resumption for boarding school across the state. Monday 19th September,2022 resumption for all day students across the state.
” By this announcement, parents and guardians are to send their children/ wards back to school as schedule, as all outstanding promotion examination will continue in Monday.”
It would be recalled that the Nasarawa State government, envisaging a breach in security, ordered closure of all school in the state, even before the elapsed of third term.
