NDE Flag-off Orientation for Graduate Coaching Scheme in Taraba

The national directorate of Employment (NDE) on Monday flag off worshop and orientation for the graduate coaching scheme to 36 participants to help reduce the rate of failure in WAEC, NECO, JAMB, and NABTEB in Taraba state.

The Taraba state NDE coordinator Alhaji Danjuma Shehu during the flag off program in Jalingo, the state capital, flag-off/orientation programme of the Graduate Attachment Programme (GAP) in the state, said the scheme was to address youth unemployment in the country.

According to him he said “This is scheme is designed by the public works department to create employment for the unemployed graduate of tertiary education. It’s a concept developed to help a student that has a deficiency in their various JAMB, WAEC, NECO, GCE, to make up for such grades that will qualify them for university admission”.

“It also helps to produce quality employable and marketable personnel for medium-scale enterprises.
The objective of the scheme is to create employment for unemployment graduates.
To also improves and provides qualitative education to those with deficiency in their grades” he said.

He further stress that the modalities of the scheme will be implement in all the states of the federations. And in Taraba Jalingo is the selected center for the training for North Taraba, Takum for south Taraba and Gassol for central Taraba.

Shehu also stated that the scheme will only recruit participants by the SPW department and the eligibility will be open to graduates and HND holder in education firld.
The program is scheduled to run for 3 months, sensitization 1 week and the participants will take 20k and 25k per month.

While advising that participants to be serious and avail themselves of the rare opportunities, Musa Aliyu one of the participants thank NDE for creating such scheme to help unemployed youths, and assure the NDE that they will be dedicated in carrying out the objective of the scheme.
