Cosmos Ndukwe, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has left the organization.
In a letter issued to the PDP Item C Ward Chairman in Bende Local Government Area, Abia State, and copied to the State Chairman and Acting National Chairman of the party, he announced his resignation.
Ndukwe clarified that after giving some thought to his present goals, he decided to leave the PDP for personal reasons.
“After thorough consideration, I have determined that potting out of PDP is the best course of action for me at this time,” he stated.
The former deputy speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly sent his sincere appreciation to the PDP’s leadership for providing him with the chance to serve in various roles.
“I would like to thank you, the ward executive committee, and every member of the PDP Abia state for the friendship and support you have given me during the course of my membership in the party.
He said, “Even though I may be leaving my official position, I’m still dedicated to the advancement of our wonderful state, Abia,” and democracy.
