Sen. Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, has appealed to Nigerians to support the Federal Government in order to ensure peace, unity and progress even as Nigeria marks the 60th anniversary.
Enang gave the advice in a statement he signed on Thursday in Abuja.
He said Nigeria might not have recorded the height that is expected of it, but it has made steady strides in the development of the country in terms of corporate governance.
“As well as infrastructure renaissance, unflinching fight against corruption/terrorism and economic diversification and human development.’’
He reiterated that Nigerians should continue to support President Buhari for better service delivery.
He said that whatever gains the nation had recorded in the past have been derailed by the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic which has ravaged the world economy.
Enang, however, assured that “with abiding faith and the steps being taken by President Buhari’s led administration, the efforts of Nigeria forebears shall not be in vain.”
