The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has reported a record-breaking revenue of N6.105 trillion for the year 2024, marking a significant 90.4% increase from the N3.2 trillion collected in 2023.

Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, announced this on Tuesday during a press briefing in Abuja, where he reviewed the agency’s performance for the year.
Adeniyi highlighted that the NCS exceeded its 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22%, attributing the success to enhanced trade facilitation and improved revenue collection strategies.
He noted that the service achieved its highest monthly revenue in October 2024, with a remittance of N603 billion, reflecting the agency’s strengthened operations.
“The Nigeria Customs Service recorded an unprecedented performance in 2024 with N6.105 trillion generated, surpassing our revenue target by 22%,” Adeniyi stated.
He emphasized the NCS’s commitment to further boosting trade facilitation and sustaining its momentum in revenue generation.
