Kenneth Okonkwo, a spokesman for the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, stated on Monday that Nigerians did not elect representatives who would bring about the degree of suffering the nation is currently experiencing.
Okonkwo claimed that the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, “technically glitched” the current suffering on Nigerians.
The electoral authority used the phrase “technical glitch” to describe why it was unable to send the results of the most recent presidential election to its result-viewing portal.
Nigerians were promised and reassured by INEC before the election that real-time election results will be broadcast online.
However, it fell short of its own assurances and promises, which led to several issues and made some question the validity of INEC’s final results.
Since then, nevertheless, the Supreme Court has decided that the INEC is authorized to choose the method of disseminating election results.
In the midst of the growing hunger in the country, Okonkwo decried dishonest INEC officials in a post on his X handle on Monday, claiming that they were the criminals who had elevated other crooks to cause suffering for Nigerians.
“Nigerians did not vote for this level of hardship,” the author stated. INEC has technically put us through this agony. May God increase the misery and agony inflicted upon INEC officials who have ever manipulated elections in Nigeria. They are thieves who have elevated other thieves to a position of power so they may hurt us.
