NIS Introduces New Visa Fees, Begins Implementation Of NVP 2020

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) today, commenced the implementation of the new visa fees as well as the Nigeria Visa Policy 2020 (NVP 2020).

The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede made the announcement in a statement by the Service spokesman, Sunday James.

Babandede in the statement explained to the general public and the international community that the new visa fees approved by the federal government through the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, is based on the principles of reciprocity.

To this effect, stakeholders, concerned authorities and individuals have been asked to visit the official website of the service via www.nigeriaimmigration.gov.ng for full details of the new visa fees for all countries and category of applicants.

 The statement partly reads: “The comptroller general of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad.

Babandede, wishes to inform the general public and the international community of the new visa fees approved by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Ra’uf Aregbesola, which is based on the principles of reciprocity.”

“The CG wishes to equally announce our readiness to commence the implementation of the Nigeria Visa Policy 2020 (NVP 2020), launched on February 4, 2020, by President Muhammadu Buhari.”

“The implementation of the new visa fees and Nigeria Visa Policy 2020 (NVP 2020) commenced on October 1, 2020.
