Nnamdi Kanu Begs Court: Relocate Me To Kuje Prison Not DSS Custody

The Federal High Court in Abuja has once again rejected the transfer of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained Biafra agitator, from the Department of State Services (DSS) to Kuje prison in Abuja.

The detained IPOB self-appointed leader was still in the safest place—the DSS custody, according to Justice Binta Nyako, who denied the second application on Tuesday.

The judge ruled that as the court had previously rejected Kanu’s request to be released from DSS custody, his only remaining choice was to appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal.

“Go to the Court of Appeal and request the revocation of my previous order that denied the transfer of Kanu from DSS custody to Kuje prison.” Right now, there isn’t much else you can do.

“In this case, I have rendered 21 rulings, the majority of which have favored the defendant. You know what to do if I order you not to do something. Have you ever protested to this court about the non-compliance with orders? The magistrate presided.

As of the time of this report, Kanu’s legal team is adamant on delaying any trial until they have complete access to their client.
